Coronavirus update

In line with Government guidance, we have continually reviewed how we continue to support not only our clients, but our staff and volunteers as well.

This is an update on what services we are currently providing. This may change quickly and we will constantly review this page but, as things stand, this is an up-to-date summary of our services. We will update this page regularly so please check back for the latest information.

Office closures

We continue to mostly manage our services through people working from home although we are preparing our office for a safe return to work when restrictions are lifted. Our current services are:

While our one-to-one befriending remains phone-based, we are currently planning for a safe return to face to face befriending as restrictions ease and clients and volunteers feel safe about meeting again.

We also hope to re-introduce our friendship groups soon, when premises are allowed to do so.

Handyperson service

Our handyperson service continued to help where it could by carrying out emergency work. This covered work where clients would be at risk of injury if we did not carry out the work and they had no-one else (family or friends) who could do the work in the first instance. With the gradual lifting of restrictions, we are now able to do more work. Call 0141 641 5169 to find out more.

Learning and Leisure

We have decided to continue online classes for now. We will monitor advice from authorities and review these activities regularly. In the meantime we will provide whatever activities we can, such as bingo and quizzes, over Zoom. Call 0141 641 5169 for details.
