It was smiles all round at LEAP’s Devlin Grove friendship group when they celebrated Christmas in fashion.

Blantyre Community Council had donated £500 to the group, who put it to good use with a lovely buffet lunch for members and other residents in the centre, and a singalong with entertainer Laura Coburn.

Everyone had a great day and group co-ordinator Donna McPherson said: “Everyone had been looking forward to the lunch for a long time and it was great to see it going so well.

“Thanks to the funds from Blantyre Community Council, everyone was able to have exactly what they wanted for lunch, and we were able to get Laura along to entertain them

“She was great as usual, getting people to join in and have a great time.”

Ann Hartmann, who attends the group and had suggested LEAP approach Blantyre Community Council, said “The money was certainly put to good use; the friendship group members had a lovely meal and a great time. The entertainment was great too.”
