It was smiles all round at LEAP’s Barncluith friendship group when they celebrated Christmas in fashion.

The group members had a buffet lunch and were entertained by an old friend – Raymond Chalmers who had been a volunteer at Barncluith.

And the group at Simpson Court in Uddingston were treated to a singalong with Christeen MacMurdie, who’s uncle Danny is a regular at the group.

LEAP’s friendship group co-ordinator Donna McPherson said: “Everyone had been looking forward to the lunches for a long time, and both Raymond and Christeen were great, getting people to sing along and have a great time.

“People recognised Raymond and Christeen straight away and it was like having old friends over for lunch.”
