LEAP has appointed Kirsty Arnaud to give its local hubs every chance of becoming sustainable and welcoming spaces for everyone in the Cambuslang and Rutherglen communities.

Kirsty, who has been involved in the voluntary sector for eight years and has a first-class degree in Politics, brings her passion for community development to this new role. She said: “I’m so glad to be joining LEAP to promote these fantastic facilities.

“We have already totally refurbished the hubs at Halfway and Toll Pitch and will be doing the same to the Spittal Hub to make all three centres vital outlets for their communities.

“The hubs are already beginning to prove popular with local groups and residents, but we want to make them available to as many people as possible and I look forward to making that happen.”

Georgie Madden, LEAP’s business development manager added: “We’re extremely grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund Scotland for the grant allowing us to recruit Kirsty.

“It is vital that communities have access to local spaces that are both sustainable and welcoming, and we look forward to Kirsty developing links with local people and groups to make best use of these vibrant facilities.”
