Learning and Leisure

LEAP was set up by a group of older people fed up with having nothing to do. So they did something about it.

And their spirit lives on today through our learning and leisure programme covering subjects as diverse as New Age Kurling, singing group, Tai Chi, languages and IT.

In the past year alone more than 1,000 people took part in our

activities, which take place in Cambuslang, Rutherglen, Hamilton.

One area proving extremely popular is our IT classes. Digital

exclusion is a real issue for older people, and our tutor is here to help.

We believe giving older people digital skills will promote inclusion and make a positive difference to their lives. They can help people

manage their health and wealth, follow their interests and keep in touch with family and friends.
