Were you the strangers who made sure Ina got home safely after hospital visit?

Asking a young couple where she could find a cash machine turned into an act of kindness when the couple paid for Ina Thomas’ taxi home for hospital.
Ina had been shopping in Glasgow in mid-May when she fell down the escalator in Sports Direct in Argyle Street.
The staff there made sure she was looked after and phoned an ambulance, which took Ina to the Royal Infirmary and it was there, several hours later, that this random act of kindness restored Ina’s belief in the good in all people.
“I had been in the Royal for hours”, Ina said, “before I was fit enough to go home and I hadn’t a clue where the nearest cash machine was.
“I asked a young couple for directions, but they just took over. They asked where I lived, phoned a taxi and paid for it before I could say anything.
“Then, when the taxi arrived, the young lady helped me in and told the driver to take me home. It was all so unexpected that I never got a chance to ask their names, and I really regret that.
“I would love to meet them and thank them for all they did. They showed great kindness and the sort of caring attitude that I think is often overlooked these days.
“They were just lovely.”
