Are you alarmed?

You should be – and LEAP can help you.

Scotland’s law on smoke alarm changed earlier this year to make homes have interlinked alarms. Every home must now, as a minimum, have:

  • one smoke alarm in the room you spend most of the day, usually your living room;

  • one smoke alarm in every circulation space on each storey, such as hallways and landings; and

  • one heat alarm in the kitchen

All smoke and heat alarms should meet the requirements of the Scottish Government law, be mounted on the ceiling and be interlinked.

If you are a homeowner, Kevin, our handyperson co-ordinator, can supply and install your alarms for £155 for a single storey property. To book an installation or find out more call 0141 641 5169 or email enquiries@leap-project.co.uk.
